<Backpacking to the Universe> exhibition presents the works of 5 next-generation artists who will lead the future media art at DDP's permanent media art platform, Media Art Gallery and Transparent Media Wall. Ahead of the ‘Seoul Light DDP’ winter event, a super-large media art project, the works experimentally interpreting the process of preparing for a cosmic life do not simply look at ‘space’ as a fantastic space or an unknown frontier. Instead, the process of imagining the way of life, various aspects, and spatial composition that can be drawn in space from a design and architectural point of view is expressed through media projection and 3D digital art.
Projection mapping & sound art works by young Korean media artists Go Hui and Hyun Ji-won, and 3D digital works by Oh Soo-hwan, ZEEN, and BYEONKI, which are displayed on a transparent media wall, all contain different creative interpretations of everyday life in space. Beginning with this <Space Backpacking> exhibition to be held at DDP, which is likened to “a spaceship that has landed in the city,” we hope that you will continue to see the works of next-generation media artists who will lead the future at DDP.
